The sustainable transformation of rural economies requires innovative and adaptive institutional models. Village cooperatives, as community-based entities, hold strategic potential to drive inclusive economic growth while simultaneously maintaining ecological and social sustainability. This study aims to design a future-oriented model of village cooperatives capable of serving as a viable alternative in addressing the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and economic inequality. The research adopts a qualitative approach, employing literature review, best practice analysis, and stakeholder participation through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The findings indicate that future village cooperatives must integrate circular economy principles, leverage digital technologies, and strengthen collaborative networks with both local and global stakeholders. The proposed model emphasizes inclusive governance based on local potentials, empowerment of village UMKM and environmentally friendly approaches. It is expected that this cooperative design can serve as both a policy and practical framework for governments and rural communities in realizing sustainable economic transformation.
