The analysis of sharia compliance implementation at Pekalongan Sharia Hotel focuses on examining the consistency of halal tourism practices in Indonesia. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with an Islamic law approach and literature review. Findings indicate that the hotel has applied several sharia principles, such as providing halal food, prayer facilities, and prohibiting alcohol and entertainment contrary to Islamic values. However, a controversy arose when guests were charged additional fees without clear prior information, raising concerns about transparency, fairness, and potential elements of gharar. This situation reveals a gap between the ideal concept of a sharia hotel and its actual practices. Strengthening governance, ensuring transparency, and adhering to maqashid sharia are therefore essential for sharia hotels to truly provide benefits and gain public trust.
