Public service is one of the main indicators of the success of a community-oriented government. This study discusses the evaluation and supervision of public services in South Sumatra Province, focusing on the role of the Indonesian Ombudsman in assessing the compliance of local governments with service standards. The evaluation results serve as the basis for improving service delivery and promoting a more transparent and accountable bureaucratic reform. Effective supervision has been shown to enhance service quality and build public trust in government institutions. Through an evaluative approach, local governments can identify weaknesses and develop continuous improvement strategies. Therefore, the evaluation and supervision of public services are not merely administrative routines but are integral to good and sustainable governance.
